Howdy.

When I was younger I remember thinking most people probably liked the same things I did. Hanging around outside, being goofy with friends, biking or walking wherever you could. Turned out most people stopped liking these things or never did. IMO they're undervalued.

The website name is a tribute to Dick Proenneke, the man behind the journals that became One Man's Wilderness. I'm not building a cabin in remote Alaska at this time, but I grab freedom when I can, and I use Dick's example as an inspiration to reach for more.

Sometime's revisiting these moments they seem trite or overly sentimental, other time's it's my favorite thing I do. I'm optimistic over time I veer further toward the latter.

For anyone who knows visual design that may be thinking ‘this doesn’t make any sense at all’, I feel you.
